- Motorola's default setting of 30 seconds to wait for the carrier -- what
- Motorla calls "Pause for carrier" -- is often not enough, especially if
- there is a long delay between the time the dialing string is sent and
- ringing begins. Try setting the S7 register to some higher number like 45
- or 60 (eg, ATS7=60).
